สถานการณ์โดยรวม กองทัพภาคที่ 2 ได้เชิญ คณะผู้สังเกตการณ์ชั่วคราว (IOT) เดินทางเข้าตรวจเยี่ยมพื้นที่ควบคุมเชลยศึก เพื่อรับฟังข้อมูลข้อเท็จจริงและสังเกตการณ์การปฏิบัติงาน ด้านการดูแลเชลยศึก ของกองทัพภาคที่ 2 โดยได้ตรวจสอบสภาพความเป็นอยู่ การจัดสวัสดิการ รวมถึงมาตรการด้านมนุษยธรรม ที่กองทัพภาคที่ 2 ดำเนินการอย่างรอบคอบและเป็นไปตามหลักสากล

การตรวจเยี่ยมในครั้งนี้ มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อยืนยันถึงมาตรฐานการปฏิบัติต่อเชลยศึกอย่างถูกต้อง เหมาะสม และเป็นไปตามที่กองทัพภาคที่ 2 ได้นำเสนอไว้ ว่าทุกขั้นตอนของการดูแลเชลยศึกเป็นไปด้วยความเคารพในศักดิ์ศรีความเป็นมนุษย์ ภายใต้หลักมนุษยธรรมอย่างเคร่งครัด

จากนั้นคณะฯ ได้ร่วมกับฝ่ายไทยสำรวจพื้นที่บริเวณแนวรั้วใกล้เส้นปฏิบัติการ และจุดที่มีรายงาน การละเมิด ณ ช่องสายตะกู ตำบลจันทบเพชร อำเภอบ้านกรวด จังหวัดบุรีรัมย์ เพื่อยืนยันความโปร่งใส ความจริงใจ และแสดงให้เห็นถึงความมุ่งมั่นของฝ่ายไทยในการปฏิบัติตามข้อตกลงหยุดยิง ตามผลการประชุม คณะกรรมการชายแดนทั่วไป (GBC) ไทย - กัมพูชา อย่างเคร่งครัด

ภายหลังการตรวจเยี่ยม คณะผู้สังเกตการณ์ชั่วคราว (IOT) ได้กล่าวชื่นชมกองทัพภาคที่ 2 และฝ่ายไทย ที่ได้ดำเนินการด้วยความถูกต้อง โปร่งใส และยึดมั่นในข้อตกลงระหว่างประเทศอย่างต่อเนื่อง โดยไม่มี การบิดเบือนข้อมูล และพร้อมจะนำรายงานผลข้อเท็จจริงทั้งหมดเสนอไปยังกองบัญชาการสูงสุดของกองทัพมาเลเซีย เพื่อใช้ประกอบการพิจารณาในระดับนานาชาติ

การดำเนินการในลักษณะนี้ เป็นไปตามขั้นตอนที่ได้ตกลงร่วมกันในกรอบระหว่างประเทศ ซึ่งบางครั้ง อาจไม่ถูกใจหรือไม่เป็นไปตามความคาดหวังของประชาชนในทันที แต่ทุกขั้นตอนคือการวางรากฐานที่มั่นคง เพื่อรักษาผลประโยชน์ของชาติในระยะยาว และสร้างความเชื่อมั่นต่อประชาคมระหว่างประเทศว่า ประเทศไทยยึดมั่นในสันติวิธีและหลักกฎหมายระหว่างประเทศอย่างแท้จริง

2nd Army Area Operations Center Summary of the Situation along the Thai–Cambodian Border Date: 5 October 2025 (14.00 hrs)

Overall Situation The 2nd Army Area invited the Interim Observer Team-Thailand (IOT-Thailand) to visit the Prisoners of War (POWs) Holding Facility to receive factual information and observe the operations related to POWs management. The delegation inspected living conditions, welfare arrangements, and humanitarian measures implemented by the 2nd Army Area, all of which have been carried out with great care and in full compliance with international standards.

The purpose of the visit was to reaffirm that the treatment of POWs adheres to proper, humane, and internationally accepted standards, as previously presented by the 2nd Army Area. Every step of POW management is conducted with respect for human dignity and in strict accordance with humanitarian principles.

Subsequently, the delegation, together with Thai authorities, surveyed the area near the operational barbed-wire fence and locations reported to have experienced ceasefire violations in the Chong Sai Taku area, Chan Thop Phet Subdistrict, Ban Kruat District, Buri Ram Province. The visit aimed to demonstrate transparency, sincerity, and Thailand’s commitment to fully complying with the ceasefire arrangement established during the Thailand-Cambodia Extraordinary General Border Committee (GBC) Meeting.

Following the visit, the Interim Observer Team-Thailand (IOT-Thailand) expressed appreciation to the 2nd Army Area and the Thai side for conducting their duties correctly, transparently, and in continuous adherence to international arrangements without distortion of information. The team also confirmed that a factual report would be submitted to the Headquarters of the Malaysian Armed Forces for consideration at the international level.

This operation was conducted under mutually agreed international procedures, which may not always align with public expectations in the short term. However, each step represents a solid foundation for safeguarding national interests in the long run and reinforcing international confidence that Thailand remains firmly committed to peaceful means and the principles of international law.

The 2nd Army Area will continue to perform its duties with perseverance, prudence, and unwavering loyalty — to safeguard the independence, sovereignty, and dignity of the Thai nation.
