📢 กองทัพไทยขอประณามการบิดเบือนข้อมูลของกัมพูชา กรณีกล่าวหาเท็จว่าไทยใช้อาวุธเคมี

ตามที่โฆษกกระทรวงกลาโหมกัมพูชาได้กล่าวหาว่ากองทัพไทยใช้อาวุธเคมีในการปฏิบัติการทางทหารบริเวณชายแดน ถือเป็น ข้อกล่าวหาที่ไม่มีมูลความจริงอย่างสิ้นเชิง และเป็นการบิดเบือนข้อมูลในลักษณะที่ร้ายแรงและไร้จริยธรรม

📌 ประเทศไทยไม่เคยมีนโยบายในการพัฒนา ผลิต ครอบครอง หรือใช้อาวุธเคมีในทุกกรณี โดยยึดมั่นในพันธกรณีตาม อนุสัญญาว่าด้วยการห้ามอาวุธเคมี (Chemical Weapons Convention – CWC) อย่างเคร่งครัด พร้อมทั้งดำเนินการทางทหารภายใต้กรอบกฎหมายมนุษยธรรมสากล โดยยึดหลัก คุ้มครองพลเรือนผู้บริสุทธิ์ เป็นสำคัญ

❗ ยิ่งไปกว่านั้น ภาพที่กัมพูชานำมาใช้ประกอบข้อกล่าวหา กลับถูกตรวจสอบพบว่า เป็นภาพจากเหตุการณ์ปล่อยควันเพื่อดับไฟป่าของต่างประเทศ ที่ถูกนำมาตัดต่อและเผยแพร่ในเชิงบิดเบือน ซึ่งถือเป็นพฤติกรรมจงใจผลิต “ข่าวปลอม” (Fake News) และ “ข้อมูลข่าวสารปลอม” (Disinformation) ที่ละเมิดหลักจริยธรรมสากลและเป็นภัยต่อความมั่นคงของภูมิภาค

🛑 กองทัพไทยขอเรียกร้องต่อ ประชาคมโลก และ องค์กรระหว่างประเทศ ให้ ร่วมตรวจสอบข้อเท็จจริง และร่วมกันประณามการใช้ข้อมูลปลอมเพื่อสร้างความชอบธรรมของกัมพูชา ซึ่งไม่เพียงแต่บั่นทอนความน่าเชื่อถือของตนเอง แต่ยังเป็นอุปสรรคต่อกระบวนการสันติภาพและความมั่นคงของภูมิภาคอาเซียน

📣 ขอเชิญประชาชนทั่วโลก ช่วยกัน “รีพอร์ต (Report)” ข่าวปลอมดังกล่าว บนสื่อสังคมออนไลน์ทุกช่องทาง เพื่อไม่ให้การบิดเบือนเช่นนี้ลุกลามไปสู่การปลุกปั่นในระดับสากล

📢 Royal Thai Armed Forces Condemn Cambodia’s Disinformation Campaign Over False Chemical Weapons Allegation

The Royal Thai Armed Forces strongly condemn the recent false accusation made by the Spokesperson of Cambodia’s Ministry of National Defense, claiming that Thailand deployed chemical weapons during military operations along the border. This baseless allegation constitutes a severe and unethical distortion of facts.

📌 Thailand has never developed, produced, possessed, or used chemical weapons under any circumstances. We strictly adhere to the obligations under the Chemical Weapons Convention (CWC) and conducts all military operations in full compliance with international humanitarian law, with the protection of innocent civilians as a fundamental principle.

❗ Furthermore, the image used by Cambodia to support its claim has been verified as a photo originally taken from a foreign wildfire smoke deployment—intentionally manipulated and disseminated in a misleading context. This constitutes a clear case of fake news and disinformation, violating global ethical standards and posing a threat to regional security.

🛑 The Royal Thai Armed Forces urge the international community and relevant international organizations to jointly verify the facts and condemn the use of disinformation by Cambodia as a means of legitimizing its actions. Such behavior not only damages Cambodia’s own credibility but also hinders peace efforts and regional stability within ASEAN.

📣 We call on people around the world to report the dissemination of this fake news across all social media platforms, to prevent such deliberate distortion from escalating into broader international provocation.
